My little sister just got married, and I worry about her. Her husband’s job requires a lot of traveling, so she is alone a lot. Who would have thought at this age I would be living out on a farm in the middle of nowhere with my husband? I don’t think anyone thought I’d get married, to tell you the truth, because I’ve always had a rebellious streak and I loved being single while I was. But anyway, Mark’s a farmer and he’s got all this land in his family so I’ve actually really started growing accustomed to living out here on the land and handling animals and whatnot all day. I’ve always been a bit of a loner and even though I like to do things my way I really enjoy just being in a quiet place with time to read. We have a dog named Max. We got the dog when my son was in second grade. A friend of his who played baseball had a dog that had puppies. One day we were at our community park where my son was on a baseball team. He had just finished his game, and we were on our way to the concession stand to get some lunch. His friend came up with a box full of puppies. Before I could say no, somehow we ended up with a cute tan puppy. Well that was many years ago. My son has grown up and is a senior in a college far away. Poor Max has gotten very old and is now stricken with arthritis so bad he can barely walk. Today I looked up the veterinarian’s number on our satellite internet providers. I am afraid it is getting close to time to have our dog put down. I called and talked with the vet’s office personnel about what would be involved if we decided to do this. I can’t believe that I am having to decide about this. Your pets become part of your family, and it is extremely hard to think about letting them go. I don’t know how I am going to tell my son.

I’ve been a vegan for a little over a year now and it really has made finding food to eat a little bit tougher. But luckily, there are tons of vegan options available out there. But it’s going to be a little bit harder finding those options when I don’t have my mom fixing me all kinds of stuff and grocery shopping for me. I have a meal plan, so I’m going to make sure that I can find different options within that meal plan for me to eat.

Apple cider vinegar has been know as an elixir and cure-all for 1000′s of years.  Lately, however, it has gone from a home-made folk remedy to a homeopathic miracle.  It can treat all sorts of ailments and problems but it is know becoming one of the hottest weight loss products on the market.

Apple Cider Vinegar is a natural diuretics. You comes in two ways, the  natural liquid form and tablets. If you cannot drink vinegar, it is probably better to take the vinegar pill.

There have been several theories put forth on why apple cider vinegar weight loss works but the full mechanics of how it works are still a bit of  a mystery.  It is probable a mixture of them.  It could have something to do with the fact that it is a natural detoxifier and helping the body work better.  Another theory is that it has to do with the enzymes.  They help the body break down food better than it was doing.

Even though that equation is always true, just taking apple cider vinegar is not the full solution.  It needs to be used within a full weight loss program that includes theses steps.

1. Make your goal obtainable. You can’t believe that you are going to go on your diet and wear the clothes you worn in high school next week.  If you believe it will happen overnight you are simply setting yourself up for disappointment.
2. Be honest. You have to be honest with yourself about your eating habits.  If you are not being honest you can not change them.
3. Keep it fun. If you can’t make it fun it is never going work simply because you won’t be able to keep it up for very long.  If you can find ways to make it fun it will be easier to stick with your plan and it will even make the whole process seem to go a lot faster.  There are lots of ways to do this.  You can do it as a group so that you all go on walks or runs together.  Maybe you have always wanted to learn to cook now might be a good time to learn to cook and learn to cook in a healthy manner.
4. Set a goal. Once again you need to be reasonable but you do have to set a goal.  It is very hard to go out for a run if you don’t know how far the race is.  Having a goal will keep you focused and give your efforts a purpose.
